CHANGE YOUR IP ADDRESS

Every time you log on to a website, your computer signs into a virtual logbook. Its signature is an IP address. Essentially, the IP address is a computer’s contact information; it will show where the computer is located. A proxy can change your IP address and there make your internet surfing completely anonymous, which will be followed by safer and more secure internet travel.

There are different kinds of proxies. A free proxy is, in nature, completely fee-less. A professional proxy can have you pay a one-time fee, monthly, or maybe annually.

This change of IP address can allow you to access sites that would normally be blocked to you. By changing your IP address to one that is allowed, you gain access to the sites you want to visit. For example, Americans traveling broad might want to access U.S. websites, but find that they cannot access them. Usually this happens on media sites where they are sponsored by advertising. It does an advertiser no good to show their ad to people who have no chance of every buying their products, hence the block by geography.

Both types, (Paying and free) offer these services. Where they differ is in the amount of extra applications and security measures. It is important to find a proxy that uses “encryption”. This takes your plain text and jumbles and convolutes it into something completely unrecognizable.

When your computer sends this encrypted data to the receiver, (which would be the IP changer) the receiver uses a key to “unlock” the data. This allows you to surf any website that the proxy can gain access to because only the proxy can read your encrypted data.

For example, again for those traveling outside the U.S., sometimes sites are censored by the region’s government. The governments “read” your destination and once it is determined that you are trying to access a site that the country prohibits, they block you. With an encrypted IP changer however, you can make it through the countries restrictive censorship allowing you unrestricted access to the aforementioned site. This encrypted secure tunnel creates an unreadable surfing data stream that the repressive government cannot decipher protecting not just your web freedom, but possibly even your physical freedom.

Running a proxy for others to use is quite expensive. Therefore, offering it for free leaves a questionable stamp on the supplier; how are they making money?

Be careful if you are opting for a free IP changer. Keep in mind that the owners of the IP changer still have access to your information and location. This has the potential for unscrupulous change IP companies to be making their income off of unsuspecting internet travelers who just wanted to save a buck. Instead of saving for their vacation, they could be paying for the hacker’s trip!

Always weigh the options when choosing a change IP proxy supplier. “Free” is always a great price, but paying a miniscule fee monthly for professional change IP software will ensure you of having more than just an IP changer. One should never settle when it comes to internet security.
